This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. With this book, the authors set out to give voice to the reality of how they, as analysts, develop their identities and bring those to their professional practices. The authors wanted to unearth the hidden and unspoken, the reality of developmental experience that may not find expression within the confines of formal training paradigms and professional writings. These narratives provoked and expanded their thinking. The authors see how each developmental their journey is unique, each voice distinctive. Every essay here has the quality of a love letter to their field, speaking to that thirst for deeper understanding. In short, the authors have risen to the challenge of defining their own voices and identities and incorporating these into their work.
