ABSTRACT

Introduction Since their seminal work “Psychology of Criminal Conduct” (Andrews & Bonta, 1994, 2010), offender assessment has become a staple of the criminal justice system. From arrest to community supervision to reentry, contact with the criminal justice system generally results in being assessed for any number of attributes. These attributes may include risks, needs, protective factors, and responsivity (both specific and general) (see Andrews & Bonta, 2010).
