ABSTRACT
The vision of the government is to turn Bangladesh into a middleincome country by 2021. This will be challenging to achieve within the prescribed time frame due to the various development issues faced by the country. The question therefore is how Bangladesh will progress into a middle-income country by 2021, given the current situation which is further compounded by its ever-increasing population size.
