BRINCAT: These issues seem to go directly to the question of aufhebung (sublation)—a par-
ticular concept that is not adequately described in most dialectical accounts, but which bears
directly on the relation between complementarity, complicity, contradiction, and harmonization
that you raise. I will return to this subsequently.
