ABSTRACT
The second main aim of the study was, as formerly argued, to map the willingness of
second-home owners to take on more active roles as competence brokers in terms of entre-
preneurship and innovation in their second-home community. First, a specific question
aimed at shedding light on the place attachment and the alleged willingness of the
second-home owners to contribute to developing their recreational community was devel-
oped. Second, a specific question was introduced that related to a number of predefined
vehicles of knowledge transfer, in accordance with the discussion of interlocking direc-
tories and communities of practice, as identified in the literature review.
