ABSTRACT
Climate change discourse is carried out in a number of ways and addresses different groups of people: it includes scientific discourse, the discourse of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the discourse of politics, media representations of climate change and talk by the general public. Depending on the actors and audiences the terms ‘global warming’, ‘climate change’ and ‘greenhouse effect’ are employed One of the questions is whether these two terms have different denotations or different connotations. What is more, how is climate change framed and how are questions of (un)certainty represented in various discourses?
