ABSTRACT
Common opinions on recent migrations often suggest the presence of a homogeneous under-class without resources coming to Europe in search of a better life. This representation is even stronger for non-Western immigrants. Some academic studies tend to reinforce this representation by focusing only on domination processes or ethnic prejudice in the labour market and in society, or by defending the idea of a concentration only in low employment sectors.
