ABSTRACT

Family-centred practice (FCP) has been internationally recognised as highly relevant to the delivery of children’s disability services. Despite being widely endorsed in children’s services, it appears that shifts in professional practice and service delivery policy have been minimal (Craft-Rosenberg, Kelley, & Schnoll, 2006; Patterson & Hovey, 2000). According to Dempsey and Keen (2008), the integration of FCP in childhood disability services is still in an “adolescent phase of development” (p. 43).
