ABSTRACT
Generally speaking, social work focuses on groups of people whose ‘global basic needs’ (Gil 2012: 20) are neglected or who are facing structural inequalities. Social work is connected to local and national structures such as law and social security on the one hand and is also responsible for individual people on the other.
