ABSTRACT

The exemplification of Analysis in On the Beginning of Social Inquiry as collective-collaborative problem solving provides the opportunity to re-think the notion of resistance This is so because theorizing, in the form of collective-collaborative problem solving, stands as the purportedly rational discourse between an ‘egO' and an ‘alter’ through which the auspices of any behaviour or social action may be constructed or revealed. Theorizing in this sense includes attending to the incompleteness of the actor’s actions, such as what ‘egO' and ‘alter’ do, or leave behind or unsaid, in order to construct the rationality of their action.
