ABSTRACT
The globalization of exchanges coupled with containerization considerably increased maritime traffic during last decades. Thanks to the standardization of containers, goods can be transported on long distances by container ships, trains, and trucks, without any change in their condition. Containers represent universal transportation boxes that ease the mechanization of the handling system. Today, most of world trade is carried by sea and most of the goods are carried by container ships.
