ABSTRACT

I received my MFA in 1982 at Ohio University. My undergraduate degree was a Bachelor of General Studies that combined two years of studio art and two years of theatrical design into an original self-written, committee approved degree. Between graduate training and undergraduate school I worked professionally for two years. The last quarter of my grad program was an internship at The Old Globe Theater in San Diego. I was subsequently hired as a resident assistant designer for five years. My freelance career was based out of San Diego, as I worked around the country, until I moved to Los Angeles and began working in television. I worked in both television and theater for the next 15 years until making the transition to academia.
