ABSTRACT

Chinese people are very startled when they see that in the Western way, there is no single master. It is even more startling when they see that each person equality, with no distinctions between high and low or superior and inferior. Rights are the exact things for which people fight. Whether one has rights or not can be viewed in two different lights. The issues, should need to decide what attitude to adopt, therefore, are first, what lessons to draw in light of the drawbacks of Westernization, and second, the need to prepare for and advance toward realization of the world second cultural path. Although the original intention of the Chinese path was merely to allow one person to lead and make decisions regarding the continuing, common livelihood of all the people, it has in fact led to each individual's personal livelihood depending on the master, rather than on the individual's own self-mastery.
