ABSTRACT

Today, civilized nations in the world have abolished autocratic politics in favor of the politics of public opinion. There are two established reasons for this. One is theoretical, the other practical. Speaking from a theoretical perspective, in the politics of public opinion, the opinion of the people is used to implement national politics because all rights originate with the people. This is the most practical of natural laws. The nation is an aggregate of the people, and the people are individual members of the nation. Public-opinion politics thus has a correct theoretical basis. Furthermore, public-opinion politics does not develop by accident. It must have a foundation. This foundation lies in the people having vigorous opinions. Subsequently, large political associations would be formed among the people, manifesting the shared feelings of public opinion. At this time, even if the government asserted its powers of intimidation, the associations would remain intact.
