ABSTRACT

The foregoing scenarios have presented two versions of a single chain of events as seen through the eyes of two sets of beholders. The sharp divergence in the two interpretations of what happened stems from the difference in the vantage point and the differing preconceptions of the two groups of participants. Many other versions could be written from other viewpoints. Many other facets of the story could be displayed. These two accounts point up the width of the gulf separating two viewpoints and the extreme difficulty of reconciling them.
