Instead of directly addressing the issue of Taiwan’s participation in the international political arena, Professor Jaenen deals with matters preliminary to U.N. membership. By providing a general overview of Canadian social and political realities, he offers the experiences of another sovereign state to compare with Taiwan’s social and political situation.
In his overview, Professor Jaenen covers various aspects of Canadian society, presenting some as possible models for Taiwan and other countries.
