ABSTRACT

The South Florida study was a joint effort between Dorothy Harlow and myself conducted during my visiting appointment there. The Western Michigan study was an outgrowth of a consulting project working with the management department faculty including particularly John Rizzo and later James Hill. The two efforts were combined for this publication in the Journal of Applied Psychology (Miner, Rizzo, Harlow, and Hill 1974).
