ABSTRACT
The theory considered in this chapter makes comprehensive use of the systems concept, eventually incorporating major formulations regarding the environment and its interactions with organizations. Thus this is truly an open systems theory in a sense that the system 4 and control formulations are not. The distinction here is between using systems concepts and developing a full-blown systems theory.
