ABSTRACT

This chapter explores the application of evidence-based management (EBMgt) principles in the e-learning context. It establishes a conceptual foundation that involves positioning EBMgt in relation to other management perspectives, defining virtual e-learning teams, and establishing the importance of investigating best practice management methodologies in this context. I conduct a systematic review of the relevant literature. The systematic review reveals both the potential contribution and limitation of the technique for EBMgt. Finally, I offer suggestions for further research.
