ABSTRACT
This project was established in the context of the broad objective of capacity and competence building for a sustainable national development plan. Specifically, capacity building through research capability and competence strengthening geared toward the creation of scientific knowledge are of prime importance in the economic development of Tanzania. This project serves as an example of successful university cooperation between the north and south.
