ABSTRACT

A small man with a pear-shaped crimson nose and wearing a yellow bowler full of holes, checkered trousers, and lacquered shoes pedaled out onto the Variety Theater stage on an ordinary two-wheel bicycle. He made a circle to the strains of a fox trot and then let out a victorious howl, which made the bicycle rear up. After riding on one back wheel, the man flipped over upside down and while cycling managed to unscrew the front wheel and send it into the wings, after which he continued his journey on one wheel, turning the pedals with his hands.
