ABSTRACT
The economy is a roller coaster on which we all ride. When it goes up, the magnates of business and finance are geniuses. When it goes down, they are dunces. But they are in fact neither. They are riding the roller coaster with the rest of us. The ups and downs are properties of the roller coaster, not the people who ride it, not even the magnates. It is operated by an Invisible Hand.
