ABSTRACT

The Marketing Center of Excellence is a corporate function that provides expertise, consulting, capability-building, best practices, and common processes/metrics that span across 3M. The Pricing Center of Excellence (PCOE) is one of the core pillars of marketing that was created around two years ago to heighten the awareness of pricing and deepen our strategic pricing capabilities. The pricing analyst role required the ability to understand data, explain the data, to identify and opportunity to recover leakage. People want Pricing Excellence to be part of the culture of 3M, very much like Six Sigma has become over the past several years. It is to be embedded in the culture so that it becomes second nature to a marketer. Cross-functional groups together to ensure the people have considered all elements in making a price decision. So the author need people who business-minded first are like to dig into complex business issues.
