ABSTRACT

This chapter presents an interview with Vishaal Jayaswal, a Vice President of Pricing and Value Management for Cox Automotive. The interview was conducted by Stephan M. Liozu, an Assistant Professor of Management and Strategy at Chatham University, USA. Vishaal Jayaswal has more than a decade of experience in pricing products and services for consumers and large and small businesses. He holds an MBA degree from Emory University, and also has three divisions of company namely Communication, Media, and Automotive. In two of the three divisions, there are now pricing centers of excellence, whose sole responsibility is to build pricing strategies for different products and services. Vishaal Jayaswal plays a key role in helping to accomplish the profitability goals of the group. Over the last two years pricing experts have made great progress. Pricing has become a much-respected discipline and a well-funded, well-resourced function.
