ABSTRACT

This chapter presents an interview between Stephan M. Liozu and Michael Hart about careers in pricing consulting and software. It discusses whether pricing is getting enough attention in the world of business and also discusses whether it is progressing. The chapter explores pricing with the modern-day Six Sigma to the point where it has become a valuable business tool for every company to use to further drive results. People are now in a similar stage with strategic pricing. More and more companies are focusing on pricing and on how better price management and execution can deliver stronger business results. However, further progress can be made in incorporating pricing as a full-time discipline. This issue truly impacted the pricing and margin performance, which people had to address very quickly. They addresses the entire root causes of their pricing problems and in the case some of the issues were in the supply chain strategy.
