ABSTRACT
The central aim of this conclusion is to outline possible avenues for a dialogue on the meaning and future study of security. It has been a challenge for us as well as the contributors to this volume to organise such a dialogue and to present it on paper. The limited number of chapters can only go so far in suggesting shared concepts for further debate and initiating a dialogue on the broader picture of security studies’ main conceptual, empirical and methodological contributions to explaining, understanding and critically reflecting on matters of security.
