ABSTRACT
There is no crisis in political communication or at least, not if we understand the phrase to mean something akin to an absence of communication about public affairs. If anything, one could argue there is a surfeit of political and public communication via websites, blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Buzzfeed and other sources. In which case, one may ask: Where and what is the crisis? In the introduction to this volume, it was suggested that “the current media change qualies as an institutional media crisis” because, and in part, the media’s role in nation-building has itself eroded. It follows, therefore, that one can write of an “institutional media crisis.”
