ABSTRACT

Malala Yousafzai was awarded the nobel peace prize, the now world-renowned Pakistani defender of girl's education and human rights, Malala Yousafzai, recorded a personal video message for the women and girls rising conference in New York city. Recovered from a nearly fatal assassination attempt by local Taliban fundamentalists, she currently attends school in London. When she was growing up in Pakistan's Swat Valley, the quality of education for girls was totally inferior. She saw no future for herself. She decided that raising her voice was very important, if she wanted to see change in her community and in the larger society. And she proved that to the world, that yes, her voice is powerful. She can bring change through speaking. There are so many problems all over the world. In Syria children are suffering from the civil war. Many are now refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, and Turkey.
