ABSTRACT

With a clearer vision of what design practice entails and how design professionals can be prepared, we now look at some important issues that emerge when design is considered in specific contexts-from dramatic changes in K-12 schools, to shifts in thinking about performance in corporate contexts, to the space for gender politics in Learning, Design, and Technology as a field. The positions here are perhaps most illuminating with respect to their intended contexts, but many of the concerns around change, innovation, and equity apply to other contexts as well.
