ABSTRACT

Recent occurrences of more frequent and severe natural disasters have drawn greater attention of the international community to the importance of more coordinated international efforts and safety protocols. Governments around the world have taken into account the significance of comprehensive disaster management where domestic operations and international assistance coordinate effectively. The network of disaster management, at both the national and regional scale, requires a mutual understanding among all actors of coherent policies, operations, and capacities to cope with a given situation so that coordination can be conducted in a consistent manner toward the goal of saving lives and property.
