ABSTRACT
In some instances the very nature of the activity contains within it both intellectual and
practical knowledge, basic and applied knowledge and also the sense of an exchange
relationship between the producers and consumers of cultural experience. In this sense
we can see that aspect of the Triple Helix in which different modes of knowledge pro-
duction sit alongside (and even within) each other.
