ABSTRACT

Life’s journey with autism consists of many stages, and on attaining the seventh degree of autism we now have the foundation for stepping up to the eighth degree of autism. This is where self-acceptance and identity alignment combine to empower the autistic individual forward. This gives more self-confidence in his or her abilities, but still with skills to learn and practice, and many issues needing to be acknowledged. The autistic individual starts to create and later accept a place in society, where he or she can use his or her skills and receive acknowledgment for them. So eighth degree autism is more than a promise, it’s now on the horizon.
