ABSTRACT
Juan Herreros begins his architectural studies in ETSAM in 1975, two months before the death of Franco, thus studying through a period of transition, freedom and optimism. Juan Herreros considers that studying through this period was a privilege as it contained a mix of the potential of the new together with a traditional academic education which combined technical knowledge with studios run by the best of Madrid's architects. Herreros Arquitectos brings with it legitimacy and lends credibility, so much so that some argue that this latter form of architectural research is the only legitimate type. Herreros Arquitectos: Juan Herreros says that the first discussions are not necessarily about an architectural point of view, but rather in terms of the project itself. Herreros Arquitectos: equally between the office and the workshop. Once finished, the house was transported to site in four trucks carrying six components, which were assembled in one day.
