ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on supervision of clinical work and CAT with adolescents and young adults. Although we are particularly interested in the supervision of specifi c CAT interventions, many of our comments apply to the supervision of clinical work generally, because we believe taking a relational (CAT-informed) approach is helpful. We acknowledge that others might use CAT with younger children, however the majority of our experience is of supervising therapists working with 12-25 year olds, hereafter referred to as ‘young people’.
