ABSTRACT

Nearly 30 years ago, DePauw (1986) highlighted that a research priority within disability sport was to understand the biography and development of coaches working with athletes with a disability. In the intervening years there has been increased attention on coach learning and development, yet there is still limited research on those coaches who work within the context of disability sport (McMaster et al., 2012) and even less focus on those coaches who work with elite athletes who have a disability (Tawse et al., 2012).
