ABSTRACT

Searching for a clearer understanding of the nature of experience, and how images function within daily life, informs my dual practices of psychotherapy and photography. Words are an extension of both the patient and therapist in the treatment setting, connecting each to his or her individual experiences and to one another. My photographs are an extension of myself in the world, expressing my experience through the image created, and communicating that to others. As dreams mirror one’s inner world through the residue of the outer world, my photographs mirror my outer world through the lens of my inner world.
