ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we share our experiences in developing the Teacher Learning Journeys digital badge system to support the professional development of STEM educators. Key elements of the Teacher Learning Journeys system are highlighted. Development and research observations are presented as considerations for what has already been accomplished and for future work. At the conclusion of this chapter the reader will have a better understanding of collecting feedback from learners using a badging system, providing choices around the badging content, levels of badge assessment, instructions and orientation to badges, and mentorship throughout learning experiences.
