ABSTRACT
“Relationship” has always been an important concept in collectivist cultures. Collectivism promotes relational interdependence, in-group harmony, and in-group collaborative spirit (Ting-Toomey, 1988; Triandis, 1995). These values are manifested in the everyday interactions of collectivist culture.
