ABSTRACT

As a student in the social sciences, reviewing and evaluating research consumes a large portion of time. Of course, this is something professors forget to tell you. But that is another story. Learning how to determine if research is good and/or valuable to the selected topic of interest is something of an art form and is best learned through practice which consists of reading many, many articles, books, and reports. There are many different ways of determining if a piece of research is useful to you in your quest for material for your purpose. However, there are some useful hints that will help in deciphering what is good research.
