ABSTRACT
This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the key concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book demonstrates the young professionals may even develop their own instruments along the way to deal with the ethical challenges they meet. It shows that the gap between education and practice is still felt by the practitioners, and they can offer planning educators some useful tips. The book discusses knowledge about planning practice can be first of all gained during the initial years of the education through 'experiential learning' or 'work experience' to gain a better understanding of planning in the workforce. It also demonstrates work placement deepened students' knowledge of planning procedures and gave them confidence in themselves and their career direction, thereby enabling them to navigate the transition to a junior planner. The book suggests that the curriculum 'zoom out' to make more room for the social sciences, economics, and law.
