ABSTRACT
One important contribution of this book is that it dares to exploit what I have called a ‘bias for practice’. The authors unapologetically seek reports from the field about the surprises, discoveries, frustrations, and lessons of planners’ practices in diverse settings, lessons not least of all for planning educators. In so doing, the book does even more than its editors might have set out to do.
