ABSTRACT

Mexico is located in North America and is one of the most visited countries in the world. Demographic evidence gathered across Mexico over the last 20 years has shown changes in indicators such as life expectancy, mortality and population growth. The 'Public Policies and Earmarked Budget for Women's and Men's Equality' in Mexico's legislation was established based on international and regional instruments. Gender violence is the most serious cause of violations of rights in Mexico because it takes away women's freedom in all spheres of action and ultimately their right to life. The beginning of sport in Mexico is marked by pre-Hispanic communities. Women always participated actively in games and competitions of religious and cosmogony meaning. The first time Mexican women appeared in the Olympic Games was in Los Angeles, 1932, with the presence of Maria Uribe Jasso in javelin and Eugenia Escudero in fencing.
