ABSTRACT

Defining collaboration as it relates to the work of the costume

designer is complex. The number of people that a costumer must

work with on a daily or per-production basis can be staggering.

From initial contracts with artistic directors, company managers,

and production managers, to directors, design teams, dramaturges,

costume personnel, vendors, performers, and stage managers,

costume designers work with a wide range of individuals to bring

their work to fruition.
