ABSTRACT

Soccer performance is influenced by several sources of constraint that exert their influence before, during and after a match (Davids et al., 2005). Soccer – officially called association football – is a game played on a field between two competing teams of 11 players each with the aim to propel a round ball into the opponent’s goal by kicking or heading it. Applied sport scientists and coaches use performance analysis of soccer to make decisions about diagnostics and interventions.
