ABSTRACT

The intersection of studies of leadership and firm valuation has the potential to benefit each discipline. Leadership has been one of the most studied topics of social sciences. Google “leader” and discover that there are hundreds of millions of hits; Amazon has hundreds of thousands of books about leaders. While there are some wonderful summaries of the leadership field (Bass, 1990; Bass and Bass, 2008; Norita and Khurana, 2010), the dominant question should be “What makes effective leadership?”
