ABSTRACT
The theme of the announcement of pregnancy and/or in pregnancy indicates metaphorically our intent to divulge the work carried out by the group Observatory of internal motherhood. In the “words that announce” 1 , there exists a concentrated entanglement of contrasting and even paradoxical meanings corresponding to the complexity of the psychic path of the whole pregnancy. The paradox lies in the fact that the certainty of what is announced goes hand in hand with the uncertainty of the effects the announcement will produce. Thus “announcing” implies tolerating the unpredictable future of the meanings that it will take up in the life of the individual.
