ABSTRACT

In the previous chapter, we reflected on what we had learned about the relationship between achievement and inclusion from our research across the four case-study schools. The purpose of this final chapter is to provide ideas for others who also want to undertake research in this area. It comprises a series of questions and suggestions to support practitioners’ reflection on how data might be collected and analysed in ways that advance knowledge about developing the achievements and the inclusion of children and young people in schools. It also supports researchers who come into schools seeking to understand that relationship in order to contribute to knowledge more broadly; for example, by testing, refining and extending the findings we present in this book.
