ABSTRACT

I was a golfer long before I ever decided to become a mental conditioning coach for golf. The game has been a part of my life for as far back as I can remember. My connection began when I was roughly 18 months old in my grandparents’ garden with a very small metal golf club, an airflow ball, a plant pot for a cup, and a cane used for supporting plants for a flagstick. No one in my family played golf. I was introduced to the game by my grandfather, who caddied in his youth at a private course in my hometown in England, where I am currently a member. Growing up I always saw myself playing golf, and not once did I consider my future would involve anything other than me chasing a little white ball for a living.
