ABSTRACT
Play is an ubiquitous activity of young children and forms the basis for play throughout life (Bergen, 1998; Bergen, Hutchinson, Nolan, & Weber, 2010; Bergen, Reid, & Torelli, 2009). As significant developmental changes occur during the first 4 years of life in children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive domains, concomitant progressive changes occur in play.
