ABSTRACT
Translation and Conflict sets out a clear and convincing framework for understanding the role of narrative in the social construction of political violence, particularly as it relates to the operation of power and the constitution of social identities. Within this broader setting, Mona Baker also examines some of the different roles that translation plays in the narrative construction of conflict.
